Cross-Country Skiing in Val Gardena

150 km of cross-country trails are waiting for you in Val Gardena, with the best trails for all levels of skills and preferences, evenly spread on Vallunga, Alpe di Siusi and Monte Pana.

Those who love cross-country skiing on soft and compact snow can’t miss such an experience. 

 

The cross-country trails in Selva Gardena

The Vallunga ski center is located in the natural park Puez-Odle, just above Selva Gardena, with a convenient parking spaces near the start of the tracks.

The nearby school of skiing and Cross-Country Selva Gardena has a rental service for all the equipment you need. You can also deposit yours, so you don’t need to pack it up everytime you want to do some cross-country skiing.

The first part of the trail, green and blue in color, is ideal for anyone who is approaching the cross-country skiing, with a vertical drop below 30 meters and a length ranging from 1.5 km to 3 km. It’s not hard, but the scenery is beautiful enough to be enjoyable even for expert athletes.

For those who are more accustomed with the discipline, there is a medium difficulty 5 km long red circuit, approved for national level competitions.

There is also a black track, a 10 km long tour that leads cross-country skiers throughout the Vallunga. A very tough trail, but beautiful nonetheless.
